Week 8, 9, 10 - better late...
www.dregular.com <<
So, yeah, week 8, 9, & 10...yeah shut up, its been busy. Just between you and me [*explanation deleted*], so i'm sure you can understand.
Having thus explained that things have been busy, in reality things have finally quieted down a bit. I even bought a lamp, a lamp fashioned from an old, cast-iron driveway ornament. As the description suggests, it's ugly. Though where it lacks aesthetic functionality, it fits my taste to a tee. If I happened to care enough of your own personal opinion on my lamp, I'd post a picture, but those who are not local will have to take my word for it.
Moving along. Extra, extra, the dregular news is as follows: The site is truckin' along and is finally jockeying position for full funding. Among the small handfull of emails that I receive every week, I finally received my first piece of hate mail. Concering Week 9's "Support France" comic, bhobson@earthlink.net informs me that,
On a side note, sometimes when I type one of my favorite words, "goobs", I type "boobs" and have a raucous good laugh-- sometimes ejecting cafe latte all over myself. I mean what can I say?? I live in Newton after all.
Getting back to business, the d-store is still scheduled for a fall launch, though I'm running into difficulty purchasing my first dregulus ex machina: the button maker. As a pretty average joe, fuckin' idiot, I have absolutely no idea who makes a solid- yet afforadable- button maker. I'm far too anal to just buy on a whim, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. For the amount of time i'm putting into this, I might as well sell a button depicting the button maker in tribute of this entire ordeal. Consider it the first dregular exclusive. I'm sure I'll be the only one to buy it....score, i just lost a buck............to myself!
In other news, my pre-ordered copy of the new The Velvet Teen album, Cum Laude, arrived today and it literally is blowing my ass away. Like, both butt cheeks clear off my body, and across the room. The album even came complete with a lyric book spanning the entire discography of the band, which is pretty cool. The album is a great inventive/creative progression for them. I continue to be impressed, if not a little obsessed. Order it somewhere around here, and trust me, $12 never sounded so good. Better yet, they have a US tour for the album. They'll be in Beantown this October. I know I will be there...with no underwear on.
Speaking of music, I have a confession to make. As many of you know, Thom Yorke recently released his first solo album. Excellent in its own right, I admit that I don't really listen to it and am more enthused by Cum Laude, and like it a lot better. So, yeah, this is the most blashphemous thing that I have ever said.
Ok, ok, I think that does it for me. Did you know that the dregular posts a weekly bulletin pic on myspace.com?? Ofcourse you didn't, so i'll leave you with a few of my favorites:

"The Taliban and airplanes will never be comedy. Go fuck yourself. I've reported your websight to the World Wide Web police division. Why not make a comic about that!@&"Thanks for your letter bhobson@earthlink.net. I truly had no idea. The World Wide Web police division will appreciate your vigilance...if only they existed. And, rest easy, I did go fornicate with myself. Multiple times. I definitely needed it, I've been a bit stressed. But...kiss your mother with that mouth??
